The Story Behind the Name

Two of my favorite elements essential to a beautiful photograph that also go hand in hand in life

We are designed to be drawn to light. It is comforting, assuring, and guiding, and in return, that brings joy. Light is the first element that God created after the Heavens and Earth. The joy we experience when living in the light of Jesus is indescribable, and as Matthew 5:16 tells us, we are called to let our light shine for others so that they can experience that same joy.

This is the story behind the name Joylight. I want to honor God, who created light and fills my soul with joy. He gave me the gift of using light creatively and constructively to bring my images to life, and I get the privilege of passing on these images to you in hopes that the joy captured in them remains with you forever.
